More successful embryo implantation<\/p>\n<\/h3>\n

Endometrial biopsy (endometrial scratching) is an intentional and controlled injury to the endometrium (endometrium).<\/strong> The induced injury to the endometrium causes an inflammatory response within the uterus increasing the endometrium’s susceptibility to implantation (implantation) of the embryo in the cycle prior to transfer. The procedure is therefore designed to increase the success of embryo implantation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \n <\/div>\n

Indications for the procedure<\/h3>\n

The procedure is recommended for patients in whom implantation has failed at least twice despite normal ovarian reserve and good quality embryos.<\/p>\n<\/span>\n <\/div>\n

When should the procedure be performed?<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

The procedure must be performed during the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle (the time counted from the onset of ovulation to the first day of menstruation) preceding embryo transfer or cryotransfer.<\/p>\n<\/span>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

What does the treatment look like?<\/p>\n<\/h3>\n

The procedure is performed using a minimally invasive aspiration method, which does not require anesthesia. After inserting a gynecological speculum, with the help of a special catheter (pipella), the doctor makes small lesions of the endometrium. The patient can leave the clinic immediately after the procedure.<\/p>\n<\/span>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n
