dr n. med. Wojciech Sydor
Specialist in Internal Medicine, Angiology and Clinical Immunology.
Graduate of the Jagiellonian University Collegium Medicum in Krakow and Molecular Biology at the Faculty of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Biotechnology of the Jagiellonian University.
Since 1998, he has been professionally associated with the 2nd Department of Internal Medicine of the Jagiellonian University CM. He is a senior assistant at the Clinical Department of the Department of Allergy and Immunology and Angiology and Cardiology at the University Hospital in Krakow, a lecturer at the Medical School for Foreigners at the Jagiellonian University Collegium Medicum and at the Institute of Health Care at the State Higher Vocational School in Tarnow. Scientific director of the specialty course “Coagulation disorders in angiological theory and practice.”
In2002, he received the Foundation for Polish Science Award for young scientists, a scholarship extended for 2003.
In his work, he deals with patients with immunological and allergic diseases, and is particularly interested in the problems of systemic connective tissue diseases, vasculitis, diagnosis of thrombophilias and treatment of venous thrombosis/pulmonary embolism, and the search for the causes of obstetric failures.
He is a member of the Society of Polish Internists (TIP), the Polish Society of Allergology, the Polish Society of Angiology (PTA) and the International Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH).
